Department of War · Workforce & Industrial Base Modernization

We build the workforces
that keep America
mission-ready.

BG Workforce is a single, accountable partner for defense workforce modernization. We work at the point of need, building and operating training facilities, delivering instruction, and connecting it all through software engineered for IL4 environments.

FROM FACILITY TO QUALIFIED WORKFORCE
  • Build and equip advanced manufacturing and training environments
  • Develop curriculum around actual mission tasks and equipment
  • Train, qualify, and recertify the workforce
  • Track proficiency, qualifications, and asset readiness digitally
Who We Are

We operate where workforce readiness becomes an execution problem.

A new machine, facility, or workforce initiative only matters when qualified people can use it.

We build and operate training and advanced-manufacturing environments, develop curriculum around the work being performed, deliver instruction, and use our software to track qualifications and readiness. It allows a program office to see readiness rather than assume it.

Our work is live at The Forge at Schofield Barracks, at AMTS Honolulu on the Honolulu Community College campus, and across Army aviation maintenance in the Organic Industrial Base.

  • Reduce cost by recovering time lost to legacy systems and redundant workflows
  • Deliver training at the point of need, where the work actually happens
  • Get new hires and incumbent artisans to task proficiency faster
  • Capture qualifications and recertification in a live system of record
  • Give program leaders a clear view of workforce and asset readiness
What We Do

Capabilities by domain.

Our capabilities are shaped by the work we do and span the workplace, the workforce, and the digital systems backing both. Customers bring us a discrete requirement or hand us the full implementation chain.

Manufacturing
We build and operate advanced manufacturing facilities and deliver the training that staffs them, from expeditionary foundries in the Pacific to shipyard-adjacent training centers in Hawai'i.

Workforce & Training
Our training is built around the actual job. We design curriculum, build training labs, deliver instruction, and support qualification across the Organic Industrial Base, so personnel reach proficiency faster.
Curriculum DesignInstructor-Led TrainingDepot Modernization
Energy & Power
We apply the same training-plus-technology model to energy and power requirements that support industrial-base resilience.
Emerging Capability
Enterprise Applications
We build the software that keeps training, credentialing, asset readiness, and AI-assisted guidance connected across the enterprise. Our systems are cloud-hosted, engineered for IL4 environments, and built for defense-grade scale.
Learning SystemsReadiness TrackingAI & Automation
Custom Software
When off-the-shelf products don't fit mission requirements, we build custom applications for IL4 environments, from initial architecture through deployment and sustainment.
Custom DevelopmentIL4-CompliantSystems Integration
Artificial Intelligence & Robotics
We develop computer-vision and robotics tools for skilled industrial work across the defense enterprise. VIPER, developed with Duval Software under the ARM Institute's Phase 2 program, watches a technician execute a procedure, recognizes each step as it happens, and corrects mistakes in the moment rather than at inspection. What VIPER observes feeds back into the qualification record, so time on the floor counts toward readiness.

How We Deliver

From requirement to working capability.

One contract covers the entire solution, meaning no prime-to-sub handoffs where accountability goes missing, and no second procurement to make the first one usable.

Stand up the environment
We design and build the physical facility, or digitize existing work packages, in weeks instead of years. We've done this at Letterkenny, Corpus Christi, and the Advanced Manufacturing Training Suite in Honolulu.
Train to the Mission
We build curriculum, provide instructors, and deliver AR/XR content around your actual mission tasks and equipment. We've digitized more than 200 HIMARS inspection points alone.
Sustainment
We manage learning, qualifications, recertification, and asset-readiness information in a shared digital environment as the program moves from launch to ongoing operations.
Situational Awareness
We report the information program leaders actually need: who is trained, who is qualified, where gaps remain, what assets are ready, and where additional intervention is required.
Technology

One system, not four.

One technology foundation sits under everything we do. The Omnis suite connects the facility we build to the training delivered inside it, the qualifications that training produces, and the readiness data that comes back out, one system rather than four that don't talk to each other. VIPER extends the same foundation with vision-equipped AI coaching at the point of work, alongside custom software built to mission-specific requirements. Everything is engineered to the same IL4 standard.

Omnis
Omnis is BGWS's production platform for learning, qualifications, asset readiness, and enterprise AI. Its applications are designed to share data rather than create another set of disconnected records. Proximus and Certis are IL4 authorized; Cognis is out for AO signature; Orbis is targeted for IL4 authorization in Q4.

VIPER
VIPER icon Developed with Duval Software, VIPER uses computer vision to recognize task steps as work is performed and provide technicians with visual guidance in real time. The product is in development, with planned integration into Omnis as it reaches production readiness.

The Forge: Schofield Barracks

BGWS is the implementing contractor for The Forge, an expeditionary manufacturing capability at Schofield Barracks managed through NCMS. We handle the facility upgrade, the equipment outfitting, and the staffing of the manufacturing workforce, and we supply the digital training infrastructure and content that workforce runs on. During Balikatan 2026 in the Philippines, The Forge completed 36 manufacturing jobs in three weeks.

Advanced Manufacturing Training Suite: Honolulu Community College

Under the IBAS Cornerstone OTA program, we serve as implementing partner and training provider for Hawai'i's first advanced manufacturing training center. In partnership with Honolulu Community College and Kuʻi Hao, we delivered the first 15-week precision machining cohort to active-duty service members, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard workers, and local students. Senior DoW officials and government leaders have toured the facility.

Enterprise Applications · IL4 Authorization

Three Products, One Sprint to IL4

We hardened our security practices and re-architected the platform onto containerized infrastructure, then carried three products through IL4 authorization in parallel. Each cleared authorization in six to seven months against an industry norm of eighteen to twenty-four.
